




P.R.E.P.-Opt Gymnastics Team
Xcel Gymnastics Team The Xcel program stands for poise, rhythm, execution and presentation. The program is an alternative to the Junior Olympic program and introduces the athletes to a basic level of the optional program. At GLC our Xcel program focuses on instilling a love of gymnastics, team camaraderie and dedication all while allowing the athlete to work out a limited number of hours. Bronze and Silver Teams: The athletes on these teams compete at 6-10 competitions a year. The athletes have choreographed routines on all four events and work on skills from backward rolls to back handsprings. The teams work out 3-6 hours per week. Parent participation in our team parents association is required. Gold/Platinum/Diamond Teams: The athletes compete in approximately 10 competitions a year. The athletes have choreographed routines on all four events with increased skill level. The teams work out 6-9 hours a week. Parent participation in our team parents association is required.
